Kõrge taevas

It is remarkable how much the weather affects us — our steps, our thoughts, our moods, and sometimes even our faith in humanity. It has long been known that the greatest force, often unnoticed yet persistent, is the sun. I have noticed that on days when the sun shines, the sky somehow feels especially high.

In our latitudes, beautiful weather is not the most frequent visitor. A grey sky can settle in for weeks, sometimes even months, making our pace slower and our mood heavier. But that is precisely why the appearance of the sun is always an event. When it finally peeks out from behind the clouds, it feels like a celebration — people smile, even the most serious among us.

In the paintings of this exhibition, I offer a sunny forecast — one filled with color and less grey. These are paintings of inner light, quiet joy, and peace that arise when the sky feels endlessly high and the soul has space to sense openness. Even when, in real life, it happens to be raining.
